Endorsements

Avow’s endorsements are one tactic in our broader strategy to build lasting political power and secure Reproductive Justice Governing Power in Texas. We don’t just support candidates – we invest in creating governing partners committed to the Texas we all believe in and deserve.

Our Approach

We start with abortion. Not because it’s the only issue, but because how someone talks about abortion tells you everything about who they trust to make decisions – and who they don’t. That conversation opens a bigger door: How do we want to be governed? Who holds the most political power? Who has historically had their power be denied?

From there, we connect abortion to the full constellation of human rights – healthcare, housing, education, kinship, and economic security. People do not have to make all of the same decisions about these things. They just have to agree on what should be legal, accessible, and well-funded.

2026 Endorsements

This year, Avow is endorsing a slate of progressive candidates who are willing to do more than win—they’re willing to fight. We’ve identified several bold, promising leaders who understand that abortion access isn’t a single-issue checkbox; it’s connected to the very basic question of whether Texans can live with dignity. All of our endorsements are based on who will shift the conversation, activate our communities, and govern with Reproductive Justice at the center. Together, we believe these are some of the candidates who will change what’s possible in Texas.

From there, we connect abortion to the full constellation of human rights – healthcare, housing, education, kinship, and economic security. People do not have to make all of the same decisions about these things. They just have to agree on what should be legal, accessible, and well-funded.
