We’re Organizing Through Grief — And Building Power

The Texas Governor has announced his priorities for this special session of the legislature.

With the death toll rising in Central Texas and no clarity on how the government is responding to this disaster, we think the sole priority is stabilizing the lives of families in that area.

However, Texas officials have made it clear their priority is to dismantle community power, criminalize our care, and take profit from community wins.

The government’s agenda is not about public safety or collective wellbeing. It’s about shrinking our freedoms, turning neighbor against neighbor, and silencing the victories we’ve fought hard to win. It’s reactionary politics and we will not be fooled.

We’re angry. We’re grieving. And we are unstoppable because we’re moving together.

So, to Texas officials: keep your eyes on the real issues facing families and land in Central Texas.

Get out of our uteruses.

Get out of our bathrooms.

Get out of our personal lives and choices.

The only thing special about this session is that you’ll have our full attention because we will not give up our autonomy.

We won’t back down.

See you at the Capitol.

Until Freedom,

FIGHT THE TEXAS ABORTION BAN

SB 8 bans abortion as early as 6 weeks and puts a $10,000 bounty on anyone who helps someone get abortion care. Now more than ever, we need unapologetic abortion rights advocates to lay the groundwork to defeat anti-abortion lawmakers.

Chip in to organize Texans to restore abortion access in our state. The organizing we do today determines the gains we make in 2022.
