- Criminalization of Care: Providing abortion is a felony. But it doesn’t stop with providers — they’re targeting helpers: friends, family, nonprofits, even tech platforms that share information.
- Surveillance & Lawsuits: With laws like SB 8, private citizens are deputized to sue anyone who helps someone seek care — creating a culture of fear and vigilante enforcement.
Censorship of Information: Some proposals aim to shut down websites, social media accounts, and payment processors that so much as talk about abortion.
The Roots of This Strategy
